GoldDredger, you are correct about the terminology. When I was referring to a "Compound VC", I really meant an "Unsymettrical VC", which is really two vertical curves of different lengths that are tangent to each other.
I have seen crossings where styrofoam was used between the two pipes and I have also seen concrete caps with supports but that design also involved structural analysis and good geotechnical data of the existing soil and existing trench backfill and bedding material.
Is the 54-inch storm drain...
Whether or not you need distance between VC's or if you are able to use compound VC's should probably be dictated by local agency design standards, but in my experience, public safety issues (design speed, sight distance, etc.) have been important criteria in hilly terrain too. You state this...
Generally, ribbon driveway standards are governed by local jurisdictions, HOA's or local architectural design guidelines. I have not seen a nation standard.
Here is a local design standard. Scroll down to page 161 and read the text referring to Figure 149...

Like laws, codes are subject to interpretation by whoever is reading it. Intelligent people can disagree on their understanding of what they are reading.
Personally, I don't think you will find a code anywhere that expressly addresses driveway dropoff as described above (I couldn't...
I beleive the codes that can apply in your case are the International Building Code (IBC 1003.2.12) and the International Residential Code (IRC R316.1).
Guardrail Location Requirements:
IRC 2000 30 inch (762mm) above floor or grade below.
IRC 2003 R312.1 Guards required. Porches...
1% is an industry standard on asphalt pavement but when you are using concrete, 0.5% is acceptable. This is because of the smoother surface (lower roughness coefficient) of concrete versus asphalt. With concrete, velocities are slightly higher, the surface tends to be more impervious and...

What is the length of the driveway? If it is sufficiently long, you can work with it to fit a curve between the front of the garage and the rising portion of the driveway. But if you have a short length, the radius of the VC won't matter and the solution may end up being quite expensive (as in...

I agree with Hoagie that you can place a backflow preventer valve after the pump.
Also if you have the room, you could build an earthen berm between the house and the outlet to the ditch with the top of berm higher than the release point into the county ditch so that if the outfll ditch...
You might get better response action if you post this in the Surveying and Geomatics category.

Not exactly your scenario but similar.
We have designed sewer lift stations where we utilized an "off-the-shelf" packaged product that is composed of a fiberglass wet well. We have used this product in areas where there was high ground water, and with the light weight of the fiberglass wet...
Land Surveyors have "Right of Entry" authority to complete surveys on adjoining propertiies. Even if the adjoiner is hostile, a surveyor can ask local law enforcement to accompany them, if necessary.
But I agree with previous posts which stated you should first start with a diplomatic...
