Welding of disimilar materials A182 F11 to LCC

Thanks guys. I was in error when I said LCC, It was supposed to be WCB material. Max. design temp is 315°C. I am interested in learning more about welding, are there any good books (other than standards) one can purchase. Thanks again.

Welding of disimilar materials A182 F11 to LCC

I need to know if I can weld A182 Gr. F11 pipe (p-4 material group) to a LCC valve body (p-1 Material group). Would it be better to weld two similar materials? i.e. a Cr-Mo valve body to the A182? Your input would be very much appreciated.

Upper temperature limits for WCB and LCC Steel

I need to know the following regarding WCB and LCC Steel (Valve Body). 1. Is WCB acceptable for NACE? 2. When Stress relieving WCB material, does the final product have the same properties as LCC material, and does it conform to NACE stds? 2a. What is the upper most temperature limit for...

    Flow Coefficient of cage trim

Could anyone explain how to determine the flow coefficient of the following linear cage. For a 1" globe valve Cage attributes, hole diameter=.312ø, total holes=24 1-5/16" Port, 3/4" Travel I need to calculate the Cv @ 100% Travel?

    Bleed, Spacer Ring calculation procedure

To JTE, the sarcasm was uncalled for. By the way, they were your words to begin with (convoluted and nonsenical)! I do realize there are tables posted on the internet indicating pressure ratings, thicknesses, materials, min and max npt sizes, MAWP. etc, and that B31.1 & B31.3 and other...

    Bleed, Spacer Ring calculation procedure

jte I am interested in the formula weather or not they are convoluted nonsensical calculations. Would greatly appreaciate if you could direct me in the right direction. Pegasus

    Bleed, Spacer Ring calculation procedure

I am looking for a straight forward no nonsense set of calculations. These calcs are for determineing thickness of ring, mawp of ring, minimum npt size. (max press. at spacer 740 psi) Regrads Pegasus

    VALVE BODY SHELL STRENGTH CALCULATIONS

I have not had any luck finding any specific formula for finding shell strength calculations for valve body design. The type of valve I am looking at is similar to the 2" Fisher D Body. I would like to know how to calculate the wall thicknesses, shell strength and valve working pressure. If...
