I have a weldment with some inserted part files which don't seem to want to update in one weldment, but they update in another weldment.
I've noticed that in the "List external references" command, the weldment that won't update doesn't show any configurations, but the one that does...
Indeed it is a strange one. I think it's leading to cut list problems as well. The problem from my other post has re-emerged and I'm missing 2 or three cut list items.
I'll try re-inserting those parts and see how that affects things.
By the way Corey, any idea on how to remove the reference...
Never mind.
After I closed everything and restarted about 5 times it figured out that I'd updated the cut list.

I've been tackling the same sort of problem. The only way I've found so far is to do a separate detail of the weldment and simply copy and paste the cut list into your assembly drawing.
Fairly crude but it works.
