Right at 3k, the graphics card drove the cost up a bit but it should be good for the next 4 years or so. I get it on Tuesday so i will let you know how it goes.

What i would recommend depending on your possible configurations is to use a design table but keep it to only 2 configs. You can drive multiple tables in a design table that all feed one configuration. Put in some simple validation lists and you are good to go. This is not a good approach if you...

Thank you all for your advice. I really like the boxx machines but due to cost I am going to go with a dell. I have not decided on the 4800 or the 6800 yet. But speed will be my greatest expense. I will op to buy the SSD separate and install my self as I prefer a clean install. Plus the savings...
Patrick,
Thank you for your insight. I is much appreciated.
I am looking at the dell mostly out of habit more than anything. I looked into HP and it seamed on par with dell for the price. I need to look into Lenovo thought as i have a office laptop that is rock solid.
I am leaning towards a...

I am trying to figure out how to convert a single cell in a general table from a decimal to a fraction. I don't want to mess with my document properties and that does not really work anways since this is an calculated value. I figured this out in excel but the general table is greatly limited in...
Click at the top of your design table and select insert cells. You can move the thing down as far as you like, Add tabs and even hide the design table cells. I have never lost functionality by doing this.
I never manually enter information into a design table it self. especially on template...
try clicking on the design table and saving to excel. See if you have any issues opening in excel. of you do not then delete the design table out of your part. same and close your part. reopen and insert design table from file and select the design table you saved to excel. do not link to...
I would recommend you attend training with a VAR, it is a lot in a short amount of time but you have the ability to be focused. If you have drafting experience with other programs then your only chore will be learning the differences. Other wise read this forum along with the SolidWorks forum...
Well for most Drawings I generally use one shaded view but in the case on an instillation/routing drawing it is far more useful to have all the views as shaded.
