    gas pipeline grid pressure reduction

Hi, Assume that the entity (A) is operating a gas pipelines grid of 900 km long at 50 kg/cm2. Gas is transferred to Another entity (B) at Dispatch terminal (DT), where B has compresser to take gas, at 50 kg/cm2, B transfers the gas to their pipeline network of 2000 km.. Flow is 120000 MMBTU...

    Gas pipeline venting flow calculation

We have a 20 inch, 41 km of natural gas pipeline, which needs to be pigged by ILI tool. The pipeline has no gas flow. Hence pigging is planned by venting the gas at receiver end. The ILI vendor informed that the pipeline shall be filled to 15 bar, before launching the PIG. venting is planned by...

    Gas terminal piping integrity assessment

Hi all, I am working in Gas pipeline transportation, has cross country pipelines and terminals. I have below doubts 1) Is there any way to find the terminal pipe grade? any survey . Because in old terminals, pipe/bend materials used are of different thickness than the A333 or A106 Gr B. Also...

    Hydrotest pressure drop analysis

@Stressguy: Actually the pipeline was handling wet gas. Hence we wanted to do Integrity Assessment of this pipeline. @littleinch: It's CP protected. In 2019, DA Direct Assessment done. Found no external corrosion in ECDA. 04 locations dig verification done with metal loss of 6% in ICDA. MAOP...

    Hydrotest pressure drop analysis

Hi all, We have natural gas Pipeline laid in 1997. Pigging is done quarterly. API 5L X46 PIPE. Wall thickness= 4.36 mm. We have done the hydrotest of 4'' 2.61 km long in service natural gas pipeline. The test pressure kept as 15 kg/cm2. But the pressure started dropping, to reach 10.8 kg/cm2. I...

    LPG Liquid expansion turbine??

We are operating cross country LPG pipeline system. We have PRV, to reduce the pressure of LPG from 20 Kg/cm2 to 9 kg/cm2. But i feel that we can replace the PRV with Turbine expander, which will letdown the pr & produce electricity. Does my idea work...? Can someone help me in turbineexpander...

    LPG flushing by water

Hi BigInch, We have 2 filters(1+1)A & B, If filter-A DP is high, then take the filter-B in line.Isolate filter-A, and empty the LPG(@ 20 Kg/cm2, 1.5 MT qty) by flaring, thru blowdown line. I need a solution to extract this LPG from filter. Now my doubt is, can we push this LPG by high pr. water...
