i have exported 3d dxf data before from various software packages(i think i have anyway, it was a lonnnng time ago)in your case, it would help to know the software that you were going to import it in with? is it from, for example, catia to autocad? i just tried to export a 3D from Catia v5...

i think we usually create a step 203, but i am not exactly sure...we usually go the other direction with that translation... iges should also work, but its not going to give anything but curves and surfaces btw- a lightyear is a measure of distance, not time

use the extract from seq command under the catia utils menu...that will extract any v4 data for you tools-> utility-> extractmodelfromsequential

hey, i had the same problem, i couldnt use the 3-button functions that allow to zoom, unzoom, rotate, and pan... ...i happened to be using a logitech mouse, and it had some specific software installed, i just uninstalled that software, and it works like a champ ever since...
