Skydrol and composites - this may perk everyone up

Thanks Ted. I do have that chart in my ref matl. I did not mention that this is carbon/resin layup using carbon fiber and M87500 and MTM45 among others. The chart that you referenced shows carbon as excellent. It is the resins that concern me. Anyway thanx for the input. Jerry Jerry L. Eden...

Skydrol and composites - this may perk everyone up

I am currently working for a company in Mojave as a Landing Gear Systems Engineer and have a question regarding Skydrol and what effects it has on composites. I have been searching the internet intensely and have not found much info on the subject. The direct question is that I have a 75,000...

    Dimension line configuration

Hello to all, I am trying to set the dimension callout so that there is no extended line with arrows out. I attached a file that shows the dimension but I want to eliminate the short overruns of the dimension line on the opposite side of the arrowheads. I know that CATIA does this by default...

Hello to all, My next question is a CATIA question. I know how to appy material to the part body but what I would like to do is to have the material to be visible on the part body. Hope this makes sense. CATIA V5 Rev 19 thanks, Jerry

Does Anyone know what S. R. means (not sherical radius)

Thanks to all who replied. I finally found out the answer. The S.R. does mean spherical radius on the drawing. Although not per spec the S.R. meant that the spherical radius was a concave radius. This is used for feel so that it creates a "feel" so that the finger can find the switch button...

Does Anyone know what S. R. means (not sherical radius)

Thanks very much too all. I did not think this would get that much attention. The answers are great and helps to have more ideas from everyone. This particular part is from an SCD and has no cross section view, just a top and front. We are trying to finalize a RFQ and we just did not get enough...

Does Anyone know what S. R. means (not sherical radius)

I just want to thank everyone for their thoughts on the problem. And for monkeydog I do not think it is a sperical radius because it is pointing to a flat surface. Typically it is called out as SR 1.00 and not S.R. 1.00. It could be a typo and a geometry error. All of the answers were things...

Does Anyone know what S. R. means (not sherical radius)

lisa247, The SR is just an abreviation for Senior Design Engineer. I have over 30 years experience in aerospace, aircraft, and spacecraft. I am 63 so I guess I am SR citizen also. Jerry

Does Anyone know what S. R. means (not sherical radius)

MintJulep, The Company, Aircraft, context, Drafting system, etc is not relevant. I have been in this business for over 30 years and am an a consultanting Sr. Design Engineer. I have looked through all documentation to try and find out the meaning without success.I am attaching an env dwg of the...

Does Anyone know what S. R. means (not sherical radius)

I have a drawing that is calling out S. R. and it does not refer to a sherical radius. It is on a Test Enable switch which is on a Thrust Reverse assy. Thanks for the help in advance. Jerry Eden

Mouse Crosshair in Catia instead of arrow etc.

I know this has been talked about before a few months ago but I would like to resurrect the topic. I want to have a crosshair in my graphics window and was wondering if anyone knew how to change this option? Thanks in advance, Jerry
