    Sorry for the double post. Damn cellphones. But carbon fiber is twice as stiff and zylon. E graphtized carbon = 77e6 psi and E zylon = 28-35e6 psi. The lower temp fiber are generally around 50e6 psi.

    So I'm not sure if zylon is necessary for what you want. I can't think your exhuast pressures are going to get that crazy. The resin question is a better one. bismaleimide is the resin of choice for high temp situations. It can be used with carbon fiber or fiber glass. Zylon is super crazy...
