    API 2000 - API 650 Fire Venting

For safety devices the overpressures indicated as 20% and 10% above maximum allowable working pressure apply to API 620 tanks only. As indicated in 4.5.1.1.4, these conditions do not apply to API 650 tanks where the internal design pressure should not be exceeded under any normal operating...

    Conversion from HYSYS to PROII

With HYSYS you can import some PROII input files. However, if simulation is too complex or have non-traditional components you might get some errors. Sadly this process can't be done backwards. Regards, CH Mondolfi

    HYSYS MDEA SIMULATION

Hi CANOMAN, I think it would be very helpful for all if your friend share encountered bugs within Hysys V3.0.1 and V.3.1. Regards, Mondolfi

    HYSYS 3.0.1 BUG

Hi FarshadN, Thank you for your interest. About the thread, you may browse it by Thread Nº: 798-69805 If this fails, you may also try looking over my threads. Regards, Mondolfi

    RhoV2

Hi, Can anyone explain me what is the use or the importance of the term RhoV2 in the desing of a flare header collector? Thanks in advance,

    HYSYS MDEA SIMULATION

Dear Seagraves, After several tries, I have found that the inclusion of NH3 as component (even if the mol rate is zero)will "activate" the bug. If you do the flash without the component, results are as expected. Regards,

    HYSYS 3.0.1 BUG

Hi, After some painful headaches simulating a Amine Regenerator System with HYSYS 3.0.1 (Amine Package selected) and with the help of another forum partner (PHP78), we have come up with the conclution that this version has a bug in amine package. For more information on this matter, please...

    HYSYS MDEA SIMULATION

Dear Prashant, Thanks for your interest. As you mentioned, HYSYS Amine Package is very temperature limited (25-125ºC) and for the bottom temp. of the regenerator (128.5ºC) is out of range. The stream I'm talking about is the feed stream to the Amine Regenerator. It is a rich amine coming...

    Flame Propagation Velocity

Hi, Where can I found a method for calculating the flame propagation velocity for gasoil and gasoline? Thanks in advance

    HYSYS MDEA SIMULATION

MortenA, Feed stream is not cooled nor heated before surge drum. Is in liquid phase du to SH2 is "retained" by MDEA. Surge drum exists in real plant. Regards,

    Liquids

Lantyr, Thermodynamicly speaking, as a pure liquid is heated eventualy, will become vapor, not solid. But if your liquid, within the heating process, degrades, reacts, cracks, etc., may form solid particles that will remain after all liquid is vaporized.

    HYSYS MDEA SIMULATION

Hi Prashant, The surge drums is upstream an amine regenerator tower. The purpose of this equipment is to vent any vapor to a fuel gas absorber, and send the rich amine solution to the tower. The feed to this s. drum is a stream almost 60% water, 38% MDEA and 2% SH2 (mass basis). Flashed vapor...

    HYSYS MDEA SIMULATION

Hi, I`m working on a MDEA Reg. Unit. and I'm using HYSYS 3.0.1 (amine package)but I'm having a little problem with this. I have a surge drum before regenerator tower;According to H&MB, the drum is adiabatic and DP=0. Vapor flow in this separator should be near zero @T,P, but for some reason...
