'97 2.5L V6 twin turbo. Galant/Legnum - japanese import (I'm in Ireland by the way)
[off topic] These can suffer what is known as "fuel cut" - the EMU intervenes because it thinks it can't supply the fuel required compared to the air it's pumping in. The mapping requires "overhead" - it...
Well that's certainly the most comprehensive answer I could have got! Thanks!
What's the addendum in 5.5.3 where the correction factor>5%?
Re: fuel pump being a limiting factor, in the VR4 it is. Mitsubishi went a bit nuts with the engine management but didn't boost the fuel pump to match...
Thanks Dan / Dgallup
I thought it was an odd claim, given that the difference between testing at a high temp vs a low temp would be pretty big.
e.g. my own car (Mitsubishi VR4)
Last tested at 42oC / 108oF. 280 bhp
I'd expect this to be much higher output at lower temp, for example at...
Quick query:
A dyno manufacturer is claiming that their machines correct for temp, i.e. will give the same output figures regardless of temp, a test vehicle will show the same power whether tested at cold or hot days.
Without a MAF is this possible?
For example, pre-det due to high temps, how...
From above, once your guys are in there, it doesn't need to be locked. That would be my interpretation of it. Check that your lone worker procedures address their operations, just as a back-up for them.

An option would be to use keyed access with a push-bar on the inside, to allow safe egress in an emergency. An alternative to that would be to use a maglock and only give access to "suitably qualified" personnel that way.
Reading the regs quoted...
There would be so much to change that it would only be a waste of time.
Do your JSA's in place with the people who will be carrying out the work, with particular site / location risks that they will be facing.

Next 5 years projections should be obtainable from current manufaturing projections - its a relatively short period.
From an "anecdotal" viewpoint from Ireland, conventional auto boxes are becoming more prevalent for your "A to B" cars, mainly due to huge increases in traffic congestion...
Well, I wasn't expecting *that* response, but I can understand feelings on the issue (I'm from ireland myself, population 4 million, and with a large influx of "foreign" i.e. EU ascension countries workers in the last few years)
If it helps any, my friend is being offered a job in his family's...
A friend is potentially going for a job in New Hampshire, recent graduate in Electronic Engineering. Graduated in the UK.
What would be a reasonable expectation of starting salary, in a pretty small company? He has no idea of living costs, etc. in the 'states.
Many thanks!

Any more specifics?
Simply put, any system can get contaminated with filamentous bacteria. It will get out of hand if the conditions are right, nutrient wise.
Gererally speaking, remove the nutrient source, and they don't get out of control - but this is rearely an option.
