For plaster finishes, L/360 has been used successfully for many years. L/120 would be considered wholly unacceptable. Besides, you are talking about a 2.7 inch deflection. Not very practical.

Paragraph 11.3.2.1 of ACI 319-99 probably addresses you situation.

The bracing of the pile caps is done using tie beams if not braced by a floor diaphragm. Most seismic codes require tie beams.
