This is the first time I am working with Solid Body" concept..I have a part with certain features but these don't show under "Solid Bodies" in the Feature tree. Now if I want to "merge" these certain features to make a solid body so that I can copy that body elsewhere in the part, how can I do...
I have a super tight deadline on this thing and I have been really stuck for the last 2 days!!! I must follow things in this order:
- Create base sketch
- Create fillet
- Create additional features (sweep around a 3D sketch that contains the fillets created above)
- Create draft (SW doesn't...
I am trying to draft the faces of a cubic box whose edges are filleted. But SW won't let me do it. Is there a way around it? I can't delete fillet to draft, as a lot of other features were built on those fillets.

Thanks guys!!

The problem is:
The sweep is following a 3D sketch. The profile goes around the box/base along the 3D sketch and joins the starting point. Now if you look at the top straight edge, you will see 2 faces of...
Thanks guys! I tried doing this and it almost worked. I created a 3D sketch first to work as the path. Then created a profile perpendicular to it. But when I sweep it, it gives error "Can't create because of zero-thickness geometry". I am not sure what's the problem..
I am not sure how to do this, I have never done it before what Theophilus and mnCAD are suggesting. I have a part with some features that I want to save separately for the purpose of making a cavity in other parts. I haven't created the cavity yet. I tried selecting the features in part file...
Let's say I have a cuboidal hollow box with some features on one face. Now I want to create a door that will replicate those features (as cavity) so that the dorr will close on the box. I used cavity to create the female version of these features on the door. Now I can create a cavity only once...
I am trying to change the color of certain faces of a part which is in an assembly. The problem is - the color does get changed in the part file, but once I go back to the assembly, the whole part shows up as monochrome. How can I avoid this?
Just wondering if a sketch can be extruded in a direction that is not perpendicular to the sketch plane, instead it is inclined at an angle to the sketch plane?
Thanks to all the readers
I am trying to make an in-context part in an assembly. I project and offset a part's profile to create a sketch for another part. Then I fillet the first part's edges. Then if I suppress those fillets, I get an error message that the second part's sketch has dnagling edges etc. How can I get...
