    Retaining Wall Failure.

The wall had already failed once before, it was replaced in 2007. Granted it wasn't as dramatic a failure. That wall may have been properly built from the same plans and still failed.

    Retaining Wall Failure.

The City of San Antonio posted their preliminary findings. http://www.sanantonio.gov/dsd/pdf/memo_rod.pdf

This story is getting a lot of attention here in San Antonio.

    Revit 2010 - Revison sheets

I appreciate the input, but I've already figured out how to freeze drawings. I'm looking for some real world methods that engineers have actually used. Our office will use one of the two methods I described in my original post. Is there a third method? Are these the only two methods and I just...

    Revit 2010 - Revison sheets

What do you mean by "lock"? I know of the "pin" command but that only holds the view in a particular location on the sheet. Side note to the admin's, this BIM forum is kind of hard to find. It seems to be way off the beaten path. What would it take to move this forum up the food chain?

    Revit 2010 - Revison sheets

I'm looking for some feedback from other structural engineers as to how you handle issuing small revision sheets(letter size, 11x17)? Our office has been looking at two possible methods, each with their drawbacks. One way is to create duplicate views of the detail or section being revised, and...

    ATLANTA partial parking deck collapse

Did it seem odd to anyone else where that beam landed on the grass? It looked like it was yanked straight out. It didn't look like it just fell after the floor gave way.

    Void forms under grade beams

    Revit Structure

I hope this isn't considered interrupting, but can somebody help me find a grid line? Revit insists I already have a grid line 7. I can't find it. I can enable the work plane, and see what plane it is on. But I can not isolate the actual grid line. I've even saved the file under a different...

Revit, RISA (or other struct software), and Architectural AutoCAD

I have used Revit and RISA products together on a few small retail buildings. Our firm just started with Revit last month in anticipation of architects in our area using it. I understand my minimal training plays a part, but Revit is one of the most infuriating programs there is on this planet...
