I am currently working on a project where we'll be designing an outfall pipe that will extend 300 feet into the coast. I am wondering if anyone knows of any guidance/technical manuals specifically related to lateral and vertical loads on the pipe.
Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know of any publications or literature on good pracitices for analyzing stormwater flow metering data? Specifically, it would be analyzing the data as a function of the precipitation (i.e., relate flow rates as a function of precipitation).
Thanks!
Thanks everyone for the insight.
I have completed further research on the topic, and it appears that SWMM does not calculate a time of concentration. The hydrograph is developed assuming each subcatchment is a non-linear reservior. Flow discharging from the "outlet" of the reservoir (if you...
I am trying to model a weir with a trash rack. The trash rack consists of a series of bars. With that, I have a few questions:
1) Does anyone have guidance on discharge coefficents for a weir with a trash rack or structure similar to a trash rack such as a screen?
2) The weir equation...
We have been committed to using SWMM to perform a flood study for a 2.26 square mile urban watershed. The watershed has been divided in to 26 subcatchments.
It appears SWMM assumes overland flow to determine a "time of concentration" for a subcatchment (from what I can gather, the equation...
I am under the impression that baseflow in a natural channel is a function of infiltration of groundwater into the channel. However, I am reading a report where baseflow and groundwater infiltration were modeled two seperate ways. The report assumes a constant baseflow value obtained from flow...
Hi all,
I currently have volumes for grease, but I need them convereted into a dry weight. Does anyone have any insight (i.e., conversion factors, et cetera)?
Thanks!
