I have been tasked with specifying a new work station
As in the past we have used Dell I went to check out the latest spec
All is well till I get to the Graphics Card my chose is limited to a AMD Radeon or a Nvidia GeForce
I then checked the SolidWorks website and found that neither of these...
Simply move the folder VaultData the external drive
Then change the vault location to point to the External drive
I have used a setup like this so I know it's possible, but I did only have 1 Laptop connected to the external drive
Hope this helps

If you are using the default colour scheme
It could be one of the following
DimXpert, Under Constrained
Mate callout, warning
Or Temporary Graphics,

We use composer but mainly for our user and installer instructions,
I have made a few animations but nothing on the scale you are proposing. I haven't found anything that composer can't handle, although it has struggled with some of our larger files but then so has SolidWorks

I had this issue in SP2 or SP3, but not seen it for some time, I thought it was fixed in SP4.
Maybe I have just been lucky

This is how it works for me
I have my spin box increment set to 0.1mm
The control key gives an increment of 1.0mm
The alt Key gives an increment of 0.01mm
I fined this very useful for tweaking dimensions and a lot quicker than typing in small changes

Here is my tip
When using the mouse wheel to modify a dimension
Holding the control key increases the spin box increment by 10
Holding the alt key decreases the spin box increment by 10

I found the offending part
It was a simple part built to represent a wall in the assembly
The external references call for some location that doesn't exists on our system so it must have been imported at some time
I don’t know were the part came from but it is gone now
Thank for the help...
I have just opened an old assembly and a strange hat symbol has appeared beside the assembly icon the feature tree
I have never seen this before. Any ideas what it means?

Hi
You need to extend the Parting Surface to beyond your tool boundary sketch
On your model, I set it to 25mm and it works OK

we have 3DVIA and have found it worth the money even though we only use a small part of its capability
