    recording animation of assembly collapse

This is quick and easy, and anyone with a PC can see the results. Step 1: Create an exploded view - in the Configuration Manager right click and add new exploded view. Tailor it how you see fit. Step 2: Create an animation of the exploded view collapsing or exploding - right click on the...

    Drawing Note or Specification

A380 is a nice guideline for the cleaning of parts prior to passivation, but I am looking for something to serve as a reference for parts coming into my facility. I think KENAT is pretty close. I need to convey that the parts are to be clean room ready prior to going into the clean room...

    Drawing Note or Specification

Are there any industry standard notes that can be applied to a mechanical drawing that specify the cleanliness of the detailed part? I am looking for something that covers the cleanliness of a delivered part... particularly an accepted level of particulate/contamination, size of particles...

    Inv 11 vs Solidworks 2007

With any software package, test it according to your needs - have your VAR demo the exact application issue you wish to solve. I like SW, but still believe IV produced "prettier" drawings that were more in-line with published drafting standards (leader lengths, dimension offsets) right out of...

    SW 2006?

ctopher - nice icons! you are right - jumpin' ahead of myself sworks - you are right - gettin' ahead of myself. Never had these issues before, new company, new PC, I try never to blame SW, but... Thanks for the advice! Air cooled, belt fed, gas operated machine gun firing from the open-bolt...

    SW 2006?

I have a lot of issue lately with MS Windows XP SP2. I will run the Clean=up utility... And yes, SP 1.1 has some fixes that I wanted. Thanks for the info! Air cooled, belt fed, gas operated machine gun firing from the open-bolt position

    SW 2006?

just started the cummunication today with the VAR, but I assume the recommendations that will follow are the same - reinstall and try again. That takes a while and with projects running like they are, I don't have time to keep trying - I just stick with SP 0.0 and work with it. Maybe a late...

    SW 2006?

I haven't had any luck installing SP1.1 - it gives me an "invalid installation" and tells me to reinstall SW. I have noticed that we have not seen a lot of SPs, and I know that SW needs them. Just wondering - Air cooled, belt fed, gas operated machine gun firing from the open-bolt position

    SW 2006?

Has anyone heard anything about SW skipping a 2005+ release and opting for 2006 release instead? Air cooled, belt fed, gas operated machine gun firing from the open-bolt position

Is SP 1.1 any good ??

Has anyone had any issues with intstalling it? I downloaded it, turned off all virus software, installed it... When I tried to run it, the SW screen comes up and just before it lets you access the menus, it gives an error that says "[invalid installation contact reseller]" and closes down. I...

Part modeling - how do I create a bent ribbon cable?

I used both the sweep and the sheet metal - different configs. I actually needed the appearance of the individual conductors at one point, so the sweep worked well in that case. Air cooled, belt fed, gas operated machine gun firing from the open-bolt position

Part modeling - how do I create a bent ribbon cable?

I agree - but SM would not give such an exaggerated stretch - it wouldn't be visibly noticeable. Air cooled, belt fed, gas operated machine gun firing from the open-bolt position

Part modeling - how do I create a bent ribbon cable?

Sort of, but the cable doesn't stretch around the turn like you are showing it, it gets folded such that the outer wire (last) in the ribbon is the same length as the inner wire (1st) of the ribbon.

Part modeling - how do I create a bent ribbon cable?

It is a little difficult to explain verbally... Take a flat ribbon, lay it on your desk. Now take one end and fold it so that it is running perpendicular to the end that is still laying flat. Do not bend it up or down - bend it left or right. Kinda like dog-eared pages - folding the corner...
