Cougarfan,
.....are you still looking for answers?...Yes, especially technical ones. However, I was through with the study. My approach is practical. I compare the standard consumption established in the product specifications with the actual consumption. Making the study however was not easy, I...
Good day.
Dideyjohn:
I dont know how to respond technically. But seeing that I have an issue here is well appreciated. As of the moment the oven that I am refering to is actually considered to be retired and replaced with a new one. However there are other dryers and toasters in the factory...
Good day ashbeel6.
After doing your intention you will have a minimum of 520A
single phase supply at 240V which is more than what you require.
Except when the three phase side needs stability with respect to load balancing, there is no problem.
However, if it warrants, my advice is to use three...
Good day Tgreif!
Motor speed control this these is now becoming simplier by means of Variable Speed Drives (VSD's).
I am not familiar with AFDs but I assumed it means Automatic Frequency Drive. If this is the case it is the same as VSD.
My experience suggest that AC speed control has more...
Hi Dafo74.
My first comment to your post on safety is based on common sense.
The second comment is based on experience.
Sorry I cannot comment on "touch voltage" you mention.
However, I appreciated cuky2000's post.
His suggestion is worth considering. For this I give him a star...
Dafo74:
Good day!
Immediate concern maybe is on safety of personnel that would be servicing the substation.
Longterm effect I believe would be moisture that can cause cabling termination deterioration.
Future installations maybe should consider concrete platforms higher than expected flood...
Quark,
Now I have the idea how to do with the savings initiative.
Your suggestion of recirculating the hot air through moisture removal by desiccant dehumidifier is well taken.
I am now downloading the chart you recommend and will be using it after I can gather DB&WB values.
Regards.
Lucino
Dideyjohn,
Thank you for the inquiry.
I agree that a gage is the ultimate measure of usage.
However as of the moment there is none dedicated for the specific oven except for a central flowmeter which measures LPG usage for the whole factory.
It would be easier if it has.Anyway,my post is about...
Hello guys,
EraySir:
I am still consolidating data.
Our generated voltage average is 463 volts while the user side only needs 440 volts. My data is not complete yet. Any progress will be posted.
Jghrist:
Seems that I have no choice but to approximate distance of loads from generator side. My...
Quark,
Thank you for your never ending assistance to those of us that needed an expertise such as yours.
As of the moment I am facilitating the analysis of the moisture content before and after the Oven (Pre Dryer)
so that I can have a basis for comparison.
The ambient temperature at the exit...
Quark,
Thank you for your comments as immediate as i need.
I have yet to explore the internet site you recommend.
Anyway, as an added info:
Product speed: 1.1 meter per minute
Heating chamber length: 10 meters.
Incoming Product rate : 450 kg/hr.
With the following heating control...
Good day.
As part of an improvement team created by my company, I am presently making on a study of minimizing LPG usage to an oven using Shellane (LPG with heating value of 49.95 MJ/Kg) as fuel to preheat a food product conveyed inside a chamber with control temperature setting.
The oven is a...
Hello guys,
Jbartos:
Its a clerical error Va=461.9
Your Ploss calculation is alien to me specially I do not know what value is specific resistance of each segment.
Where shall I got it? Can I compute it? If it is computed, can I use the meter reading data or do i need some other data that is...

Moturcu,
Good day.
Yes, now I understand.
But our system is a three phase 440 Vac system supplied by three diesel driven generators with one generator having a capacity of 1800KVA.
How can I compute for the copper losses in a single line so that I can multiuply it by 3.
Our actual data as...
