Hallo Dimitrios,
you are right!
Anyway working with a TBM-Mixshield the gap will be filled with mortar during the excavation-stage. Of course the E-Modul and poissons-number of mortar and rock are different (but probably not so much), so that the lining won't take the whole 100% of loads. I...
Hallo Dimitrios,
I thank you very much for your exaustive answear.
To "avoid" my problem I already did what you suggested.
That means, I worked with the lining in direct contact to the soil (but not bounded to it).
The results saw realistic.
Thanks again,
Regards
Luca
I' m not so sure that a free software must be as a non tested plane. Only one example. In Suse Linux professional, you find the z88 Finite Element program. Till nowaday I never used it, but I installed this pakage last week-end.
This software, if I good remember, was developped by a german...
Hi,
I'm a user of FLAC - Itasca.
What I like to do is to model a tunnel liner, which present a gap between liner and excavation surface. In the manual Theory and background (p.4-28) there is such an example.
The question is: usually the gap is filled with, say, mortar. The liner will take...
Olivier,
thanks a lot for your advices!
Once I tried to install linux using xf86config, but without the hardware handbooks. Of course I didn't get success.
The xf86config is a very information's pretending tool.
But, beliving to your advices I think the xf86 would be the only way I have in...
Hi rennkafer,
I remember I read some paper about undersea slope stability
in the "FLAC and Numerical Modeling in Geomechanics (Proceedings of the International FLAC Symposium on Numerical Modeling in Geomechanics, Minneapolis, 1999),
C. Detournay and R. Hart, Eds. Rotterdam: A. A. Balkema...
Hallo,
I know today should appear on the market Suse 7.2 but I like to install my 7.0 again.
Problem: the installation of linux (see the 348 packages-standard+office-) are not a problem. Now, if I' m installing with Yast2, then after the linux installation, Sax2 will try to start...
Hi Selbeih,
I find the simpliest way is that to perform a finite Difference Analysis (in large strain modus. Not all FE Program can perform that (other strategy), but with finite difference you should be able). With such a model you can define the position and geometry of all your layers and...
