Welds strength?
Is the weld strength govern by weld electrode or base metal? In LRFD, the strength is govern by electrode(Fexx=70ksi), and the area is weld neck area. But the AWS D1.3, the strength is govern by base metal strength and its thickness.
That makes a big difference on allowable...
The belt will be used to move dirt or earch. The density is between 70-120 lb/cu ft. That is surface application not underground mining.
Is that enough to understand the situation?

Do you have any problems with Vaultadmin Toolbox tag? I am talking about PDMWorks2005. I found out that the directories in ToolBox list could not be edited. Whenever I tried to edit, it gave me error "can not creat new project in the vault".

I got answer to this question. The reason is I don't select Config (default, or a different). Once Config is selected, the quantities show up right away.
I don't understand why the PDMWorks references or reporting function always have a blank quantity column.
In BOM, it automatically creates the quantity for references. But in PDMWorks it is just blank.
How to make it link to the quantity of BOM?

I am talking about keeping parts in a separate folder, instead of in the same folder as assy.
Sure you always can check in assy with all its references, then move parts to another folder. However it will be tedious to take ownership, change project,..., again and again, one by one...

I solved that problem. I do the following:
1. check in parts first. (on version e.g. A.1 )
2. check in assembly. In the ready to check in list, you will see some parts on A.2. Force them to be A.1 by inputing into box of revision.
3. check in.

tvrman, thank you very much. I upgraded my pdmw to sp2.1 after I saw your reply. I played for a little bit, seemed no problem in this short period.
Just don't know why this thing happens to only a small percentage.
