    DISPLACEMENT(PUNCH) = 1 with DISPLACEMENT(PLOT) = ALL

Zadrobu, Thanks for the suggestion. I had tried that before but I forgot what the exact result was, so I just tried it again. When I change the order, exactly like you suggested, the result I get is the same as if I have only: DISPLACEMENT (PUNCH) = 1 This sends displacement for set 1 to the...

    DISPLACEMENT(PUNCH) = 1 with DISPLACEMENT(PLOT) = ALL

I'm trying to output displacement results for the full model for review in FEMAP. But I also need a punch file that contains displacements of a subset of nodes (SET 1). I tried: SET 1 = 1,2,3,(etc.) DISPLACEMENT(PUNCH) = 1 DISPLACEMENT(PLOT) = ALL The problem is that the punch file...

Welded contact and non-zero SPC Vector Resultant

Thank you Tuw. I checked the input file directly and the thermal expansion rate is the same for the parts in question. The only parts with different expansion coefficient are structurally isolated by CBUSHs. The final goal is that the materials will be different, so I'd like to keep the welded...

Welded contact and non-zero SPC Vector Resultant

I'm running a NEiNASTRAN linear static solution and FEMAP for pre/post. I have a model of an aluminum assembly (2 different alloys) and I'd eventually like to know the precise deformed shape with a uniform temperature load for further optical analysis. For troubleshooting purposes, I have set...

    Swingarm analysis

You may also want to consider the swing arm loading that occurs when hitting a large bump at max speed. Especially if the damper is progressive and relatively stiff at high shaft velocity, the tire and axle compliance could play a major roll in limiting the load seen by the swing arm. Kent Sawyer
