Cheap Opto-Isolator

All of those are around 3-4us, with a max of 18us. I am looking for something in the ns. Thanks anyway.

    Cheap Opto-Isolator

I am looking for a really cheap (~$0.50) opto-isolator, and ofcourse it needs to be fast (< 1us). I need 6-8 of them. Does anyone know of a latch, maybe similar to a '240, that has power supply and ground isolation? If something like that exists, I think that would be more elegant. I am...

    Make 16MHz from 32MHz Cheap

Flip flop it is. Thank you all for your help.

    Make 16MHz from 32MHz Cheap

The two processors communicate asyncronously. Would there be extra EM emissions due to using a flip-flop? The second processor is a SCSI controller. I need to ensure data integrity. I am not quite sure how the flip-flop would effect that.

    Make 16MHz from 32MHz Cheap

I was wondering if anyone knew of a cheap way to make 16MHz from a 32MHz clock very cheaply. I also need this to be stable. The 32MHz drives one processor, and the 16MHz will drive another. Thanks

Using the ground lead on the LeCroy LC584AXL....

Most scopes tie the probe ground to Earth ground (the third prong on the AC power plug). This means that if you use one of those adapters meant to add a third prong to an outlet that only has hot and neutral, and don't connect the adapters third prong connector to the outlet, you now have a...

    Clock vs. Crystal Oscillator

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I mean a "canned" clock, like a "clock in the box". They are usually sold by the same companies that sell crystals. They typically have PWR, GND, Enable/Disable, and an Output. This is what I was saying requires ~15mA. They sell...

    Clock vs. Crystal Oscillator

I am designing a low-power embedded system using a 186. I and trying to decide on a clock vs. a crystal for the processor and an external DUART I am using. Both can use a crystal or external clock. I have used both before and know that generally a clock is easier, you don't have to mess with...
