    Dear all, what is the ideal place to locate guard rails at approaches to bridges and why? I have seen it located in line with the bridge parapet and also in line with the kerb separating the bridge walkway from the roadway. Thanks

    Well I have to admit that I took the descriptive term from a roundabout drawing. I guess they should be charcoal-colored concrete blocks. Can you say why they are used as the last course of blocks?

    I am having difficult designing the vertical alignment for a three legged roundabout in which the approach grades are not flat; they have varying slopes. How do I achieve the levels at the edge of the roundabout circle without using a software?
