    High Strength J-Bolts

I just briefed at his posting- was going to suggest possibly considering MaxiBolt undercut anchors. They have field test results (failure loads) for various anchor sizes, concrete strengths and anchor patterns etc. You can then use your judgement in regards to a safety factor depending on the...

    Magnetic field in steel framework

What is best way to determine the heat input into the steel? Do you sum the volumne of steel for the entire wall? What equation would I use to determine the flux density or directly watts/lb of steel?

    Magnetic field in steel framework

We have a planar steel framework made of rectangular tube steel members. There is a long straight conductor running through and perpendicular to the plane of the framework carrying 2000 amps. We have a B/H curve for common low carbon steel. Questions: 1) Is the magnetic field intensity at...

    Steinmetz equation for loss

Can someone please show the Steinmetz equation presented in "classroom form" whereby the units cancel out and yield watts/m^3. The reference we found shows: Wh = n x f x B, n = hysteresis coeff (J/m^3/cycle), f is Hz, B is in Weber/m^2. I have seen B in terms of Tesla-m^2, but I understand...

    Hysteresis curves for various steels

I appreciate the quick reply and it is a good resource however their reference lists only steels manufactured for electrical/magnetic end use. I have tried AISI's web site(American Iron & Steel Institute) but no luck. Would appreciate any other suggestions.

    Hysteresis curves for various steels

Where can I obtain magnetic properties hysteresis (B-H?) curves for AISI 1008, 1015 and 1018? This is totally out of my normal realm of work.
