I am new to Inventor 2012 and am having trouble changing the "Front" view of my assembly. currently in my part the bottom view is what is shown when I click on "Front" view in my cube. Is there a way to correct this after the assembly is already complete? Thanks.
I am new to Inventor and more accustomed to using Unigraphics. I have two rectangular steel sections seperated and rotated 90 degrees to one another. They are also offset from center. I would like to get a smooth tangent curve to replicate the bend in the metal between the two. In UG, this...
dzupfrg, It looks like you are on the right track for what I need. I'm just trying to figure out how exactly you got it to work. I have deleted most of my blends similar to your picture but still am getting an error. Maybe I have my settings wrong? Attached is a photo. Thanks for the...
I am working on a casting (see attached) and now trying to draft the body from the parting line on both sides. I have tried several times using "parting object" but keep getting an error. Is there an easier way to do this without remodeling the part? Thanks.
Attached is an example of what I am trying. Near the top and the bottom of the part I need 10 degrees draft but towards the middle of the part I am looking for 20 degrees.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=2c4e58d5-3b7e-46c5-94d3-0f604dd28c62&file=Draft.prt
Similar to adding variable radius points on an edge blend, is there a way to do this on faces that you add draft too? For example if I have a forged part where the outside face varies between 10 and 20 deg draft, is there a way to model that? Thanks.
That is very close to what I am looking for SDETERS except by doing that, the thickness along the edge now varies. I would like to have a uniform thickness at the edge if at all possible.
