I thought ProE was the bomb until I learned how to use Solid Edge. Can't stand that menu driven interface now. Solid Edge is much friendlier to use and you can use it to establish a managed workflow as well. It has really great sheet metal tools too.

You may want to try going into tools --> options --> part properties and change some of the numbers there such as bend radius, bend relief etc..

2. Have you installed service pack 2 for windows xp?
- it is advisable to stay away from service pack 2 as it has a very long list of software it renders useless (so much for 2 + years of development hey microsoft)...
