Looking for a weldment profile library.

I agree that they are not difficult to make, but I don't know the corner radius on a piece of 2x2x.25 angle iron. I will have to look into getting the toolbox.... Joe

Material choice or a disposable clip

Sorry, the title was supposed to be "Material for disposable clip". I am meeting with a plastic manufacturer this morning to move the project forward. I will keep you guys posted on what I end up with. thanks Joe

Material choice or a disposable clip

I am working on the design of a clip that will be used in our manufacturing process to help stabilize the corners of some flimsy frames. It is basically a corner clip that will snap into the frame to help hold the corner square. It will be used a couple of times and then thrown away. It will...

Center of mass and tipping force

Man, I knew I asked the right group of guys! The fact that I may have mis-stated my question, is another issue. In reality, I am concerned with Stability, as handleman pointed out. I will sort through this in the morning and see how it affects my design. thanks! joe

Center of mass and tipping force

Flores, that makes me laugh! Actually its more of an assembly easel, I try to simplify my examples but in the end its easier to just give the details! Joe

Center of mass and tipping force

Alright, I have searched all over and I can't find the answer to what I thought was a simple problem. I have designed a table in SW and have calculated the CoM, now I want to know what force is required to tip it over. I am disregarding friction at this point and assuming the table will not...

    Plant Layouts in SW, Opinions?

Chris, That's the part I am dreading! Anyone have a library of glass equipment? Joe

    Plant Layouts in SW, Opinions?

gwubs, That sounds like what I want to do. Do you setup the columns, bus bars, air distribution, etc? Just curious, it looks like we will be doing a new plant this fall and I will be the guy. I would love to switch it over to SW! Joe

Excluding a directory from a file search in Win XP

Thanks for the tip, but since its a networked directory, other people need to be able to see it. I did find a little program called SearchWin that is perfect for what I need. It allows you to either select the folders you want to search in, or exclude folders from a search. Thanks! Joe

    Plant Layouts in SW, Opinions?

I have spent all of my SW experience as a Product Design Engineer, but have sense made a career change to a Process Engineer. My dilema? Plant layouts done in ACad! I hate it, I have picked up enough to survive, but man, I don't want to start up a new plant trying to wade through ACad. The...

Excluding a directory from a file search in Win XP

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to exclude a directory from a file search. I am trying to find a file on our network and during my search I would like to exclude a directory that is used for back up that takes forever to search through. Anyone know if this is possible? I am doing...

    Assembly / Cutlist question

After reading Ken's post, thats what I did. Going into it I didn't realize that they all had to be in one file to get the counts right. Live and learn.... Thanks guys! Joe

    Assembly / Cutlist question

Alright, I am relatively new to cutlists and assemblies. At least at a formal level of making prints with BOM's and Cutlists. Here is my question. Picture a basic swingset, with two A-frames at the ends (made of 6 pieces total, 3 pairs of the same cut) and a couple of boards tying them...
