Primarily design weld fixtures.
Design fixture around a supplied reference model.
Position all locators by constraining them to reference model.
Rest of the fixture is then tied to the locators.
When all is finished, reference model needs to be removed.
Must break ties between reference model...
I have a customer that is having problems checking in a model we created into their PDMlink system.
Model has around 800 files and 5 are preventing the drawing from getting checked in.
I have never worked with any of the PDM managers and the file works fine for me.
They are telling me it...
I have a BOM table with a repeat region that list all the items in the top level assembly.
It shows the components Det#, Sht#, Qty, Matl, Descr, and Treatment parameters in separate columns.
The table also has a nested repeat region so the main BOM can also display the components in the sub...
Is there any way to change the .ptn file so that Phantom lines are moved to pen 4 and centerlines to pen 5 so I can set their line weights and dash lengths without messing up the other entities on their old pens (2 & 3 by default)?
Right now my Phantom lines look just like my hidden lines.
And...
Using WF3 and would like to plot sheets with views of large assemblies set to "shaded".
Have an HP1050c plotter.
Plots start, but about 10% of the way they fail.
Paints the rest of the page black.
Any suggestions?
Is there any way to change the default density from 1 to .283.
So when it asks for a density value of a part that has not had a value assigned, it will default to .283 instead of 1.
Sorry, have "mass_property_calculate" set to automatic an am get'n a little lazy. Don't want to have to type .283...
Hello,
Is there a way to add a parameter to my models so that they can determine what sheet# they are on when detailed.
Then add that parameter to my main BOM table so it displays what sheet# to go to to find that part.
Thanks in advance.
Jason
Thanks Hora,
I'm trying to build on the info you gave me and am having some trouble.
Is there any reason why this line doesn't work:
a2 = extract (a, (a1+1), (a1+5))
I have tried it and will not work that way. If I replace (a1+1) with 1 like you said it works fine but I need the info after...
Is there a way to create a parameter in my start parts that will will reference a portion of the parts file name?
ie:
filename - joepartname_axxxxxx.prt/asm
parameter- det# = &file_name*_a*<
so that parameter det# will equal the xxxxxx portion of the file name no matter if it's 1 character...
The Bill of materials feature in assy. mode generates a BOM that is shown in the same order that the components are listed in the model tree. Is there anyway to alter the .fmt file to sort them by a parameter value.
Thanks in advance.
To answer my own question:
It is not possible to ref. note params in the Bill of Material function.
If found that in the online help reference material.
