Dear All,
I've got a non-accredited bachelor degree from an eastern European university. I'm considering applying to MS'c programme "Advanced Process Design for Energy and the Environment" in the University of Manchester. Currently, I've got 3 years of process engineering experience. How do you...

Dear All,
can you please tell me
1) Why in Hysys, if we have HC gas well above its critical point (by temp) we still can turn it into the liquid phase by increasing presure?
2) How do you understand the critical point and especially the critical pressure/temperature?
These seem to be simple...
Folks,
very interesting discussion! From the above mentioned can we say that the polytrophic head is back proportional to the gas molecular weight? Or this would be something more complex for the real compressors? Our plant FGC underperforming with about 27 % less discharge pressure than its...
Dear All,
Can you please advise where it's good to get a distance learning (following to a master degree) for Chemical Engineering? But it's to be the world-recognized education/university!
thank you,

Dear All,
sorry for some kind of off-topic... Can you please advise where it's good to get a distance learning (following to a master degree) for Chemical Engineering? But it's to be the world-recognized education/university!

I have an old gas bomb with a 1/2" opening - female thread. There's a fitting for them and it has 1/2" tapered male thread (must be NPT). The fitting can be twisted in by only ~ 8 mm. Further twisting require force. Both threads are slightly damaged by the previous twistings.
How can I define...
I would just add up here that steaming out is good for removal wax etc from the h-exchangers. The steaming out is more likely to see in downstream. To remove the H/C vapors you can sometimes replace the steaming out with nitrogen purging, especially if you do not do it very often. I also saw...
Thanks,
do you know if there are graphs etc, which helps to define if the scale can still precipitate on the boiler walls at the given temp after softening ?
all the best,
Jeyx
Dear All,
The above mentioned chemicals are a part of the complex water treatment chemical. Can you please advise on the specific action of each one - e.g. corrosion inhibition and oxygen removing etc?
Thank you,
Jeyx
Dear All,
on our plant we’ve got a new boiler with an inlet water softener.
Can you please give your thoughts on:
1) If we use a scale/oxygen inhibitors for this boiler how to measure their performance/effectiveness (samples/analysis??!)
2) Would this be sufficient or we have to refer to...
