    I should have stated that I machined aircraft braking discs which would be a high end material hence the low cutting speed, we were milling the discs rather than single point turning, we did this in UK.

    Anti - Vibration bars nearly alwyas work, they are made by teeness in Trondheim, Norway and sold via us Sandvik. The actual internal methods are a little more complex than a few holes filled with carbide, they are self tuning oil filled tubes basically

    I have machined this before. Believe it or not pcd works as long as the heat is kept low. Uncoated carbide wears quickly as cfc is abrasive. Run dry at around 100m/min VC

    You are trying to drill a 25mm dia hole through this HRSA material. I visit Special Metals every couple of weeks and we supply 75% of their cutting tools (sandvik). Consider the cost of a solid carbide drill around 25mm, this will not be cheap. U-Drill is a copyrighted Sandvik drill, all...
