We just started using CADWorx that does something similar. You still have to draw your model and P&ID separately but the two are linked through a database that you can use to assign specs and create datasheets. It seems to save time.
Right now we use a 600 KVA Diesel Generator capable of putting out 1443 amps. The unit operates a single 350 HP motor, a single 75 HP motor, and several other smaller HP motors and axillary equipment. The biggest issue is the amp draw, and this force us into using a 600+ unit.
My problem is...
I would do anything to get the ball rolling: church, volunteer work, join a club sport, etc... anything to get you talking to people and doing things... once you start doing stuff good things will happen
I wouldn't take it. lower is fun, but that's almost insulting. It will reset your pay grade from here on out, and IMO that is worse than starting over.
Thank you, I think it would be pricy to compress as well. If I will use the steam in a heat excahnger, say, would superheating be a cheaper option than trying to compress the additional 50 psi? I really need the temperature more than the actuall pressure.
Rerating? I never thought of that...
I have a gas fired boiler producing 150# steam. I need 200# steam generated at close to the same rate, if possible. What are my options?
I would like an electric option if possible, and am also considering a steam superheater.
I don't know much about boilers, steam generators, or...
I once moved across country for a job that turned out to be something quite different than what I ended up doing. Not only that, but when I brought up that my responsibilities were not inline with my job description or work contract I was told "if you don't like it you can always leave." So, I...
I would suggest setting up a recirc loop for the reactor through a heat exchanger. You can then control the recirc flow rate as a response to the heat removal required. This would be nice, especially since you a) don't know the heat of reaction, b) the heat released will probably not be...
Where do I see myself in 5 years?
With company XYZ (which ever one you are interviewing for) as a respected and admired leader.
What do you see yourself doing?
Mentoring and inspiring those around me to do the best that they possibly can.
If they inquire more tell them that a leader can...
You are correct. Unfortunately recruiters stand between you and HR, recruiters become HR and then stand between you and the hiring manager. The ignorance of these people is sometimes astounding. The best HR/recruiters I have worked with have been ex-engineers. However, even their ability to...
I would check with the state licensing board to make sure you are qualified to get a PE first. If so I would look at local universities for prep courses.
I just got of the phone with a recruiter, and the convinced my to go back to my chronological resume as opposed to my skills based/functional resume. Here's why:
Recruiters are spreading themselves over more industries than what they are used to. Thus, they don't care about your skills so...
