How shuold I remowe water marks from stainless steel on metalsurface? I tried alchohols, and different solvents but without success. I cannot use oii or some similar fluids.

i am searching a reliable high Temperature off shore (up to 600 ° C) painting system for cast steel and stainless steel, aluminum. Do you have some suggestions? How shoudl I prepare surface? How many layers their thickness etc. Any input is welcom.
We are having a larger stock of valve bodies made of cast steel CF3M and corrosion appears due to humidity in our warehouse which can not be decreased. What are you proposed to protect the corrosion? medium should be effective nit exensive and easy to use? Any sugegstions?

which measuring device do you suggest for detection of pores in cast steels? It should be easy to use one for manufacturing application.

thanks for answer!
I marked spots with marker. But spots which were marked remain on the cast. They can only be removed from cast by grinding. I tried all possible solvents without success.
Spots size is up to 5 mm.
What is suppriesingly if we put the cast ins heat own fpr 1 hour to approx...

We are using CAST steel A351 CF8. After cleaning of this cast steel with acid spots like oil spots remain. I am attaching the photo. Does somebody have an idea what those spots are? We can not remove them by cleaning agent, acid, base only mechanically by grinding.

I am attachning the picture. Is difficult to take a photo on relative small pores.
First photo is under normal white light and the same area under UV light.
Pores are randomljy distrubuted all over the casting part.
For me it looks like some dirt however it is empty - hole.

i would like to improve porosity at Cast steel CF3M. We obserev that cast steel is porouse. We would like to improve cast surface woith postprocessing. Currently we are grinding and welding the surface. Do you have some other suggestions?

I have question. From raw material supplier we obtain material in desired form (cast). We assemble this part and clean it (with first hot water and after with dry ice and again in hot water). Material surface is completely clean. After applying pressure on this part some spots appear on...
Let say that flange or a pipe is done of 1.4122 material. I am searching pressure temperature rates for this material. There is a lot of data available for ASME steels but for 1.4122 is not possible to find the data. does somebody has something?thx
