SW 2007 has custom background in the model space. Things like Blue Horizon, Burnt Toast etc... I tracked down the location of these files in SW/data/images/textures/backgrounds I made my own image of the same size etc... as the existing ones and places it in the directory, but it doesn't show...
Does anyone know if you can use the belt and chain feature (either in assembly or in block) to make an open loop? I'm trying to make a pulley system so I will have an open end somewhere, I can't seem to get the belt and chain to do this for me. Any ideas?

I'm designing a mezzanine and I'm not sure what kind of safety is required. Does any one know if the 'toe kick' on the has to be a certain height (ie 4inch?) and how high the guard rails have to be as well if guard rails have to be a minimum pitch apart? Any help would be appreciated.

It seems the dimension value 0 is the thru clearance hole for the counter bore. There is a value for the clearance hole in the standard but SW doesn't seem to see it so it decides to use '0'. I've tried re-naming the holes as well as deleting them altogether and starting again, nothing seems...
I have added a few customer counter bored holes to the hole wizard database. At first they worked fine but after a few weeks we decided to change how they were named (just the new holes) Now, when I select those holes in the hole wizard I get the msg
'The dimension value 0 is out of range...
I was looking into flat panel monitor for our solidworks users. So I was wondering what others are using and/or recommendations. I was looking at the Viewsonic VA1903 19inch displays. Any thoughts ?
I do have one more question though and I think I may be asking for the best of both worlds. Now I can see the red origin in sketch mode but I cannot pick it with the mouse on screen as I could before (or at least I think I could). Is there another option for allowing selection of the origin...
