I realized that I may have posted in the wrong forum right after I hit the button. Maybe I'll post over in foundations or general civil.
Actually, I am going to do some analysis considering the support mechanisms independantly. The strength from one may be all I need for what I am trying to do...
Hello,
I have a reinforced concrete vault that is cast in place with integral walls and floor with removeable lid. I want to do a structural analysis of the vault, but am unsure of how to combine the support from the end walls and the cantilever support from the floor.
Does anyone have...
Hello,
I have a hobby project of making a printing press (for relief printing). Instead of a typical "run between two rollers" press I am looking at making a press which would pressurize the area between the lid (pinned to the base) and a flexible membrane with the pressure transmitted to my...
Hello,
We have a building with what looks to be a brick foundation (layer of bricks turned perpendicular to wall with 2 brick deep wall underneath). A new sidewalk has just been poured up to the building foundation with expansion joing material between.
We have concerns about water and...
Download epanet (free).
It can evaluate a system in parallel.
It will allow you to input pump curves.
You may have to determine equivalent lengths of pipe from friction coefficients, though I've only used it a couple times.
Do a google search for epanet.
I did take a look at a gravity wall. It was fairly comparable with doing the geogrid wall, although much more excavating and larger concrete pad. I think we were looking at the base needing to be 5 or 6 blocks deep, which would be 12.5'-15'.
Where would I be able to find loads for construction equipment - in particular I need the load to use for an 8-ton vibratory roller. Also what factors of safety are used for construction loads - I have not heard or seen any standard numbers.
Thanks
I posted questions about lock/eco blocks previously:
thread255-43311
We did a quick test stacking two blocks with a piece of geogrid inbetween. The geogrid was Tensar UX1500HS. Using a a 16" wide piece of geogrid I wove a piece of barstock through the free end and we pulled with a backhoe...
I know HDPE is used extensively by the petroleum industry - whether it is used for petroleum lines, I do not know, but you might just check with your HDPE supplier or many of the HDPE lining companies for documentation about the subject.
If you have full commands in Excel cells you can just copy and paste into Autocad and they will run. You must click on the command line in Autocad or else you will paste the Excel cells into the drawing.
At least this works with Quattro Pro, but I assume its the same.
Oh and it goes row by row...
As pmover said, you can copy the entire sheet. Not by clicking the upper left corner to select the entire sheet to copy, but by right clicking the sheet tab, selecting move/copy, check the copy check box, and then select where you want it to go. You should be able to move it anywhere in the...
