Can anyone tell me the advantages and disadvantages to using ACBFS as the primary aggregate in a concrete mix? And is there a web-site that will also be helpfull in determining the properties and uses of ACBFS?
I have a neighboor who has a slab in his garage, 1 year old, that now has severe laitance issues, with the salts even attacking his workbench legs. I need some second opinions regarding the cause, and if there are any repairs out there to eliminate or reduce the salt attacks.
I have added water and seen air increase slightly, but is an increase of 1.5% after the addition of 10 gallons to a 9 yard load normal? Or are we dealing with a product that has something else going on?

I have searched both 04 IBC and ACI 530-02 for refrence to the requirement of Reinforcing BAr Positioners in Masonry. It is refrenced in UBC 2104, but I am unable to find it in the new code. Anyone find the refrence to how many bar diameters?
