I quite agree wit chance.sizing d psv requires u consider all cases planned n unplanned n add a tolerance of +15% in as much as d pipeline has much ratin
Goodday guys!
We just loss flow of one of our wells and inspite of the various pressure boosting measures taken, it seems not to be coming up even though the pressure builds up a little bit.
can anyone tell what else can be done
how do I determine whether the associate water in the crude is from the reservoir or there is a leakage somewhere along the tubing.
Anything to watch out for.mere physical analysis together with provable points would be appreciated.
If you really want to understand how emulsion is form, oil in water or water in oil emulsion, check introduction to oilfield chemicals by as well as water technology textbooks.Really you may not obtain data on their viscocity but with field expierience, you could determine when you see one.hope...
Dionigi gave you a good solution and am sure that should solve your problem. But ensure all the parameters ae in their proper set point and no upset before you carryout your analysis.
Mag,I dont fully understood your question however I guess you love to desand a stream from a subsea wellhead.Really you should think of using a sand trap(sand filter)and a better contact you can reach for good info is www.oiltest.com cos they are into this particular job in our field.
We increased the temp. of our separators to aid proper separation only to discover a drop in the API of the crude oil from 37.2-36.7,can anyone tell what to do to regain our API even at this temp. or any possible suggestion is welcome.
Thanks.
I noticed that when sample is being taken from a wellhead when it is diverted to test separator that it runs pure water for not less than 5mins before oil will appear but this doesnt occur when it is flowing into high pressure separator. Can anyone explain why?
We transfer 400000bbl of crude oil into a storage tank at 40deg centigrade and API of 37.5.after one day, the tank temp was 35 deg centigrade and the API was 37.1.
we needs to know the actual vol of the crude
Can anyone help?
