Very good idea about using 24VDC for the control system. I generally do not do this, as DC tends to pick up more noise as alot of contractors tend to run the control signals (limit switches, etc) from the field in the same conduit as the motor power. I'll just spec in the drawings they must be...
Plan on spending a few thousand to get a real proto built, including the plastics, et al.
The circuit is simple, USB interfaces are quite easy and add a micro and your done. I just finished a design not too long ago.
I work with several vendors on keypads, so lots of choices there as well...
Have a project where they are stating they have 690VAC/50/3
I believe the location is Madagascar but what I've found is they use 380VAC or 230VAC.
690 seems like an odd voltage for 3 phase motors, and even worse finding a control transformer that can give me 115VAC for the PLC.
Has anyone run...
OK, so 0V is closed, 10V is open, I don't need to actually ramp over the voltage. I was thinking this was a damper where you can control the air flow based on the positioning of the valve.
I have a project where I've been asked to control a electric damper actuator, specifically
http://www.valvesolutions.com/pdf/gca%202p.pdf
using a 0-10VDC signal for positioning. I've been looking for some sort of document that discusses the 0-10V control but haven't been successful yet...
Thats a good question...not sure if its on the 50Hz or 60Hz side of the island. The fan itself was EU in origin, so I imagine its 50Hz (if not universal)
I have a fan, that is on site..cant be replaced now the equipment is installed, that runs on 220VAC. Nobody thought to ask about it...and now its in Japan. So need a 100V to 220V converter. I was thinking a standard 110VAC to 220VAC box would work, its off the shelf etc but they...
After some googlin' and finding only devices that are rated, I am trying to find out WHO gives the energy star ratings..ie is this similar to a NRTL rating or more of a CE..self certified and if so, what are the standards that you need to fall into? This is for a consumer electronics device.
My take on patents. Hard to defend. Long to implement. That being said, my name is on one that is in process, however I didnt pay for it.
Why do IBM and the likes have thousands of patents? Because big companies with big bank accounts make easy pickin's for lawsuits (think SCO) if someone...
I was thinking that something other than voltage translation chips might work. Keith..I don't have access to the firmware on this, its an upgrade to an existing product and the code is another messy story that I am working on as well, or at least trying to get the original source (I came in...
