Based on my memory, there is a bibliographic reference containing a list of the landing gear load factors for several aircraft, ranging from small ones like the Piper Comanche to the big transport planes like the DC-10.
Could you please help me to find out which book/article/report I can find...
Thank you for the comments.
I agree that the drop test at MTOW will be too severe. However, it seems to be required by the FAR 23.723.
By the way, do you agree with me that the FAR 23 is not clear when it deals with ground loads?
FAR 23.473(b) gives the definition of the design landing...
I have a question about sizing a spring landing gear of a small airplane.
If I am reading the regulations correctly, FAR 23.723 requires drop tests for both takeoff and landing weights.
However, I can’t imagine why I should design the landing gear to withstand a MTOW landing. After reading the...
Hello!!!
Once I had a book with a chapter dealing with experiments to measure moments of inertia.
But I can't remember the name of the book nor its author.
Any ideas?
Thank you.
Thank you all.
Israelkk, you didn't ofend me. I posted this question because I don't want to blindly trust the finite element results, I think you got the point. Anyway, thanks for such a kind warning. Thanks to you, the elephant is going away :)
Hello.
I'd like to validate a finite element code using a spring supported beam. It's a beam with a spring at each side.
I'd like to find the elastic curve of this beam, but my memory betrayed me. I forgot how to get this equation.
Maybe by superposition? At first I would find the elastic...
Hello.
I've just bought an used copy of Vibration for Engineers written by Andrew Dimarogonas. But the VIBLAB software was not with the book and the ftp address given in the book is not good today.
Please, could someone share one copy with me?
If it is piracy, please forget my stupid question...
Thank you all.
I'm going to take these values and check their sensibility in calculating the radial stiffness of the bearings. I'm using Harris' book, that's why I'm looking for the values.
