    Differences between ACI 318 and 421.1

    I am trying to figure out the differences between the ACI 421.1 and 318 codes. Is it all in the equations? Namely, is the only difference in Vn, the nominal shear strength at the critical section, or are there some more subtle differences? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
