Hi Svk-Mn, testing separate shell side and jacket side makes sense;- the shell will be first internally tested and then external tested when hydrotest the jacket. The 0.3 x 1.3MPag jacket hydrostatic pressure is actually equivalent to 3x1.3 full vacuum pressure on the shell side. Testing...
This type of U-tube exchanger is detailed step by step in the Help section. You dont seem to follow the PV Elite modelling instructions (refer to the Tubesheet pull down menu). Can you post the .pvd file? I'll have a look for you.

A manway on a pressure vessel is an access opening and as such is subjected only to the process operating conditions, without typical nozzle loadings. Exceptions only when the manway cover is supporting other type of openings, then the manway require additional analysis.

BrentP,
Assuming the design code is ASME VIII-1, the guiding clause is UG-45. That will tell you the minimum nozzle neck thickness, if your 0.063" is acceptable or not. The nozzle thickness is not dependent of the nozzle length. The attached flange rating should cover the vessel MAWP at...
NilsonC,
The design of your boiler shall be in accordance with ASME BPVC 1, Part PMB for miniature boilers (less than 150 l capacity). The shell thickness shall be in accordance with Section PMB-5.2 of this code, which specifies minimum 3/16" pipe wall thickness or 1/4" plate thickness. Note...
Hi svi,
Please review the ASME SA-265, Clause 7.0 and all the sub-clauses. The overlay may be included in the composite materials tensile strength.

The pig receivers (and launchers) are designed to process requirements and there is no standard to specify the steam out condition;- in fact, you are asking if the vacuum condition is a special requirement. This condition is specified by the process engineer or the project basis of design...
The material selection for any equipment is determined by the Process Engineer and the Materials Engineer.
If deviation from the specified material is detected in RFQ & Quotation, then the RFQ has to be revised to correct the error and the tenderers shall be advised to follow the mentioned...
A. Ti clad is cheaper
B. Expanded is fine, no seal weld
C. One expansion in the Ti clad, one in the middle (if required) and light expansion extended 1 mm beyond the shell side face of tubesheet.
D. Don't mix and mess the Ti, unless you have the expertise for it.
Safest option : ask a HEX...
The question is a bit confusing, can you try rephrasing it? '...this slide over..? What do you call slide over, the carrying bar? The strip(s) look to me on top of the carrying bar, not in the carrying bar.
I think you got all the wrong way around;- apparently you are not concerned that the tank itself will become a missile in case of failure and you are looking for a solid mount. Don't use any mount, get rid of that timber base and glue on a thick block of concrete a piece of polystyrene foam with...
