    CANADA REGULATION PRESSURE VESSELS

Hello The project covers New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland On the other hand, most are bellow 15 psi I i guess that no CRN number is required, only for those where we have more than 15 psi am i right? We are used to European legisltation, which is quite...

    CANADA REGULATION PRESSURE VESSELS

Thanks, Our team will check your links. We have made the calculation with ASME, just need the CRN , thanks a lot. Dr Gorostidi

    CANADA REGULATION PRESSURE VESSELS

Thanks for all the answers In this project the vessel is small (Ø520mm H=2000mm) and pressure in this time is 5 bars (73 psi) In the rest of the proejcts the pressure is bellow 15 psi Water temperature: max 25-30º C (86 ºF) regards Dr Gorostidi

    CANADA REGULATION PRESSURE VESSELS

Thanks for the answer The service is sort of filtering water under pressure. It is installed in a fish farm. We have all the papers and certifications for europe, but as you said, we have been required the CRN number, and for this task they have told us to check B51 regulation which is not know...

    CANADA REGULATION PRESSURE VESSELS

Hi to All, We usually work in europe and Asia, and now we have some projects in CANADA. They are requiring to follow B51 regulation. This is for pressure vessels above ground with liquid inside in GRP. Is anyone familiar with it? what secction shall we go? any suggestions? many thanks to all...

Checking deformation on pressure vessel during hydrotest

Hello In BS-13121 (this one deals with GRP vessels above ground) there is a max theoric data defined during the testing process is this vessel in steel or GRP? Kind regards

SAUDI ARABIA: SEISMIC CALCULATION OF GRP TANKS

Hello we are involved in a project in Saudi Arabia. They are tanks made in grp. we cannot find in the standards (SBC 301) any way to find the sesismic calculation of theM, they deal with steel and cocrete but not with grp. (GLASS REINFORCED POLYESTER). they are ad-hoc developed tanks and we...

    DIN Standard Scope

Hello DIN standards deal with measures and performance, such as free board, manhole size and so on. for manufacturing it depends if it is under pressure (AD-MERKBLAT or EN-13121) or standard tanks, PED as was mentioned before

    Korboggen Head

Hello Klopper and Korboggen heads are used in pressure vessels Based on their shape and radius, klopper is used in steel tanks and korboggen ends are more commonly used in GRP tanks due to the fact that the stresses (because of the internal pressure) are less in korboggen ends. klopper shapes...

    Hydrostatic Test

Never heard of that. Some standards limit the % of expansion during testing, but that is shown in the calculations if required. During testing this is not required.

    E-Glass Vinylester Resin Peel Strength

Just try to help, we have deep experience in polyester and vinilyester: to make it precise: you need the "adhesive" properties between E-glass & vinilester and DB-600 which are not familiar with. what is DB-600 and do you require shear strength properties or tensile strength?

    pressure vessel safety concepts

What is the vessel material? is it steel or GRP? about the content.. it also depends... no the same water at 20ºC that water at 90ºC where the steam pressure is higher than certain value. in europe this value is about 0.5 bars and this changes the type of regulation you have to follow For each...

Internal Pipe material for Mixed bed exchanger vessel

that is right and i agree with you. ...but unfortunatelly in many installations the air pressure used for mixing the resins is more than the necessary and the ionic exchange resins make a huge force acting like a piston upwards. This is the reason why steel is used in the mid diffusers, so that...

Internal Pipe material for Mixed bed exchanger vessel

yes, that is right. the best solution we have found is to use ss pipes and polypropilene nozzles. What tr6 pointed is very important, in other case the resin will go through the nozzles after some time

Rectangular sight glass, vessel reinforcement calcs?

From the mechanical point of view rectangular openings are a source of stresses. The arc of these have a big effect on the stresses suffered by the vessel, that is why the codes go to circular (optimal) or at least elliptical ones. in any case despending on the material/pressure these can be...
