I am trying to create a parabolic datum curve using the from equation option. I'm not having any success. The equation of the parabola is X=(y^2)/(4*F) with the focal point at 1490. Can anyone help? Unfortunately, There is not much documentation on how to use this functionality.
Has anyone ever tried PTC University web based training? I would like to know if these classes are basic. I am an experienced Pro/E user looking to expand my skills (mechanica). Are these classes worth my money?
I have a 1/4" or 3/8" dowel (haven't decided yet). I want to press them into one part and have a sliding/slip fit with the mating part. I would like the two parts to be able to be manually disassembled while the closest possible positioning be obtained.
Can anyone help me find the hole fit sizes for standard dowel pins (ground .0002 over)? I am not a mechanical engineer and I find that using the machinery's handbook can be somewhat confusing.
