We dump most 2D out of Wildfire 3.0 M090 into AutoCAD 2007 Mechanical. I have a Pro/E drawing in metric that when I save into AutoCAD, turns each mm into an inch. So I get a huge drawing in AutoCAD – a 2.5” diameter part becomes 65 inches instead of 65mm. I can scale it down in ACAD but then...
Yes, as I said, we're trying to get these into Autocad 2007.
TIF's: Is there a way to embed tifs into Autocad 2007? We use tif's now in Autocad, but they are basically xrefed; the cad file reads the tif but it's not a part of the drawing. We've had instances where the tif file is mistakenly...
Lately, we are getting more 2D files from several different customers and vendors that are in formats; pdf, tif, cgm, etc.
I need information about how to deal with these formats so that I can get the drawings into AutoCAD 2007 and add notes, balloons, etc. for our system.
Any ideas, software...
Wow! That was fast and accurate! "0" does set it back to the way we had it - Autocad opens to the directory into which you last save. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

What we had set up before in Autocad was: if you had a drawing opened and saved it, and then picked “open”, you would be in the directory where that drawing was just saved. Got a new computer - had Autocad 2007 reloaded. As it is now when “open”...
Thanks. Wow, I thought we were the only ones left running 2001. Nice to know there are others. Some of the people around us that we work with haven't moved to Wildfire yet, so I work 90% on 2001 & 10% on Wildfire. I get more Wildfire files all the time, though. Thanks again.
I’m having a problem with Pro/E 2001 (2004290) and config.pro files. I’m running both Wildfire 3.0 and 2001 so I want to have separate config files for both. However Pro/E 2001 keeps saving a config.pro file back to the login (home) directory where it gets read by both Wildfire and 2001. Is...
Thanks to BravoCompany and MarauderX.
I have looked and assume that there is a need for CAD instructors, but I never seem to find many places hiring - maybe I'm looking in the wrong places (Anyone have any suggestions?). The community colleges in the area only want to hire adjunct and...
Sorry to hear you're having the same trouble - it can be really frustrating. I also put this in the AutoCAD area and there are some interesting comments/suggestions there. Yeah, I guess there could be unpleasant things that go along with teaching; I suppose it depends on where, what age, etc...
That's really an interesting view of handling the pain, SouthernDrafter. I played guitar in the past and have always wanted to learn to play piano - I guess now might be a good time. Thanks.
Thanks to everyone for your input. My mouse is set to be very sensitive to my movements. As I said, I have tried several different types of input devices and they either didn't help or made the pain worse; everything from a vertical mouse to a finger mouse to a Wacom tablet, etc.
Thanks for...
