Hello,
I want to create a mapped serie of reference points on a surface.
I want use it to create anchor nodes and then gap elements with another serie.
I know how to do it on axysymmetric model. Does anybody know how to do it on a 3D surface?
Thanks a lot.
Hello,
I am using IDEAS 11M3 on UNIX station. I want to set up manually the memory settings.
Is there some rules to do this correctly accordlingly to the hardware.
Thanks for your answer.
EmL.
Thank you.
Yes, I'm interested by the new results. Could you please give me if possible the minimum principal stress value (it is the stress which is normal to the contact surface.
Best regards.
EmL.
Hello,
I am an Ideas user and I need help for a 3D calculation.
Could someone do the following simple Hertzian contact stress calculation and give me the results?
A sphere (radius R = 5 mm) is contacting a plane. The material of the sphere and plane is steel (E = 196000 Mpa, Poisson's ratio =...
Yes I am.
With R = 5mm, E = 196000MPa and P = 60 N, I should have 1750 MPa.
The 2D model gives 1790 MPa and the 3D model around 800 MPa.
Two possibilities : I do not click on the right button or there is a bug.
Hello,
I am a Ideas 9m2 user and I want to do a very simple Hertz Stresses calculation with the following parts (made of generic isotropic steel) :
a sphere (radius = 5 mm) is contacting a block, the block is blocked, a load of 60N is applied to the sphere. It is a classical problem.
A 2D...
Hi. I'm performing dynamic analysis on a servocontrol. There are three positions (three different lengths) : mini, middle, maxi. Structure is excited in one direction (sine wave). I have got results for each position : resonance frequencies and their amplification factors. I have to choose the...
