    Are you sure you specified the step and increment numbers correctly and that nodal temperature data is available for those increments ? If you omit those numbers, Abaqus will begin reading the data from the first increment of the first step in the referenced odb. Does it work in such a case ?

    Segmentation fault usually means a bug in Abaqus or an issue with the computer (the latter might be the case here if the same Abaqus version was used). This would normally cause a different message but it's often the case that analysis fails because of insufficient disk space for scratch data.
