I need to find out what Thermal Expansion Coefficient for 316H is at 800 egrees Celsius.
Also what other Stainless steels can run at these temps?? No stress environment.

If you set your manufacturing file up as an assembly and bring the parasolid in as a part file, You can replace the part in the original part file and then in the manufacturing assembly there is a "Replace Component" function that supposedly will do this. I tried a couple times and it did not...
All of a sudden we are getting files that will not open in NX5.
The Error is the following:
An invalid handle index was found reading an OM file: probable corruption.
Has anyone else had this happen? What could be causing this?
Is it a pocket with .004 corner rads? If so how deep is the pocket? We mill things like this all the time. You can buy toole that are .020 DOC that could cut this.
I thought i saw a thread here for this once before, but i can not find it. I am using NX5 and in a lot of the dialog boxes in Drafting, the number pad does not work. Has anyone found a fix for this?
It has been a while, but i think you need to set your load options correctly to get the Linked bodies to update automatically.
If I remember correctly it has to do with load interpart data. If this is not checked you need to double click the Linked body to get it to update.
There is a million ways to skin a cat. You can also divide the face of the impellar to only machine the sections you want. This keeps the tool path from wanting to rap over the edges, which is where i seem to have the most trouble holding tolerance. You can also make datum planes that project...
