Working on a project where span for the sidewalk bridge is to be 35'-0" due to opening requirements for garage underneath. The loads on the posts come out to about 40K each (designing for a heavy-duty sidewalk shed 300 psf per NYC BC).
Any ideas on what posts we can specify for that load. Also...
Came across wood framed construction and was wondering what is the intent of these panels. Fireproofing or just to catch water percolating through the wood framing.

Came across this framing: concrete encased steel beams with chicken wire mesh (don't think it's draped). Need to find capacity of existing so we can design repairs/reinforcing. Any assistance to literature would be helpful.
