You and I are some of the few who know the difference between the two alloys. My background is actually in the copper base ingot business, where we produced these casting alloys regularly and cast them into ingot that were sold to foundries across North America.
If you might have...
Hello,
I require about 300 feet per month of 1 7/8" C65500 silicon brass rod, but it is only commercially available in 2" diameter.
The standard rod comes in 144 inch lengths, and I am having trouble finding a machine shop to turn down the rod. The 144" pieces could be cut in half before...
We are working with a sign company and need to weld sheets of alloy C22000 alloy to a bronze sculpture, C87300 alloy (Everdur). We are using tig but it doesn't seem to melt the metal very well at all. Any suggestions on a better way to weld this metal?
Thank you.

Hello,
I am looking to have surface oxide tests performed on a group of foundry silicon brass castings in order to try to determine the optimal amount of foundry returns that can be added to each melt, which will produce quality castings.
Sample 1 - a melt with 100% ingot
Sample 2 - a melt...
I am currently producing a manganese bronze alloy C86500 (Copper base) and using the formula below I am trying to obtain a zinc equivalent between 43 and 45.
Here is the formula Zn Equivalent = (Al*6)+(Ni*-1.3)+(Mn*.5)+(Sn*2)+(Fe*.9)+ Zn
My question is that I am looking for any documentation...
Does anyone know if a Pourbaix Diagram could be constructed for a copper base alloy that contains five major elements (copper, iron, nickel, aluminum and manganese)?
Thanks for any help.

Good Morning,
I require approximately 10,000 pounds of copper oxide for an industrial application (furnace flux). Wondering if this could be purchased as a by product....would anyone have suggestions as to where this might be sourced?
Thanks
Hello - Looking for a supplier of this alloy in this size mesh, with no luck. Does anyone know of companies that might produce this powder if I would supply them the alloy?
Thank you.
