Hi,
you're working in Sync(hronous) mode, do you? when that's the
case all dimensions are by default 'variable' or driven in terms
of V20 (or trad(itional) mode and thus are greyed out. You must
select the value of a dimension and then press the lock
symbol on the pop-up. Now the dim is fixed...
/Edit
the area value is based on the flattened model. When that's
not possible I've no idea other then to write a small program
that calculates the area and sets a custom variable
dy
Hi,
you could use the Area command (bottommost on Inspect) in draft.
But do it while 'Draw in view' otherwise the scale will get
factored in. The hatching can be moved to the layer 'Auto hide'
so that it won't show up. See attached files (V20)...
/Edit
one option will work when using two pathes:
- select function 'parallel plane' (from the toolbar)
- select for example the y/z plane
- move it to your model and move the mouse on the bottom
edge or one of the vertical edges and move the mouse to
the end of that line until it picks the...
Hi,
I'm unable to open your .docx. Am I right that you would
like to show a (construction) surface in your draft?
When this is the case in draft
- select the view
- RMB --> properties
- tab Display there on top 2nd row, 3rd button from
left (Parts Lists Options)
- select List Constructions...
Hi,
you should have mentioned that you're using an academic
license. Files created with such a license can only be opened
by someone you runs SE with an academic license. The other
way round it works.
For a sweep with two pathes it seems to be a limitation (or
it's bug). Even in ST2 you can't...
Hi,
when the list is empty it indicates that no matching
thread within hole.txt is found. Either you add that
thread to the holes.txt or change the diameter which
has to be done to solve you problem: the correct
diameter is 0.375 and the list will show a couple of
suitable treads
dy
Hi,
I've no problem with that. Setting the hole diameter to 0.358" then
only the display will show 0.36". Dimension the hole and it will
show 0.358". Now using the thread function it will show
1/8-27 NPSM. But why can't you use the hole function for this,
is the hole already created and only...
in V20 (and lower versions) you find those buttons to change
the appearance here (see image)

BC,
when you add this function to the QAT while the working sheet is
active it will be available also when switching to 'draw in view'
Switching to the 2D-Model sheet then you have to add it once more.
(ST2/MP2).
In ST1 (MP5) it must be added to the QAT for each environment and it did
work...
I think you want to get rid of the 'Broken out' rather than
the section view then
- RMB on the view that contains the broekn out
- select properties
- tab --> General
- checkmark 'Show broken out section view'
- OK
now the broken out view boundry will show up and can be
deleted or modified
