Have any of you developed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? After 35 years of using NX and its predecessors I’ve developed it in my mouse hand. I wonder if the button pushes weren’t taken away and replaced with mouse clicks, would I be in this situation? My clicking finger is just about useless at this...
I think it has been around for quite some time. NX 8.5 for sure and I think before that. We use different naming conventions depending on the customer, some force a prompt to save up the assembly tree and some do not.
If you have an advanced assembly license you can find the link data of your assembly in the interpart link browser. You can find it here.
This is what the results will look like.
We are running NX9 with the die wizard from which I'm told is very similar to the mold wizard.
This is are typical settings other than the search path. You've got to turn on the load interpart data if you want the files to update properly.

We do dual dimension some projects for specific customers but not all. I do agree that it should provide the ability to dual dimension considering all the money we are spending for it.
Our company has had the same issues with PDF file names. The settings mentioned above worked fine. Thanks,
P.S. These settings are found here: File, Utilities, Customer Defaults, Gateway, Plotting, Job Name tab.
Let me start by saying that new enhancements are great but they do not outweigh the “enhancements” that slow me down. There should never be “enhancements” that slow down a user and button pushes are much quicker than mouse clicks. All of the users in my department are also complaining about...
This may be of some help. The progressive die wizard creates screws in this manner. The portion of a screw thread that is actually engaged in the tapped hole is the “tap drill size”. When an assembly interference check is performed the interference will be displayed as “touching” and can be...
I have a compression spring failure issue that I hope someone can help me with. I’ve tried the same spring from 2 different manufacturers. Danly #9-1610-26 and Ready Technologies #9-1610-H. Chrome-vanadium springs. Sometimes the springs break at the first full coil and sometimes they break 2...
Is there a way to change the image for a broken link? The image for a broken link in NX4 is much easier to see than the image in NX6 when scrolling through the part navigator.
John,
Ok, I realize those old button pushes are never going to come back but there is one thing that maybe you could help me with. Is there anyway to assign the F9 through F12 keys to OK, Apply, Back and Cancel as they once used to be? I've tried to use the Customize Keyboard but I can't find...
Thanks John, I'll give it a try. Hey Hans, I agree with you 100% "not all of us care about about associativity, we care about speed and get the tool built". I get frustrated with new releases. Take away a few button pushes here and add a few mouse click there. The new features are nice and...
Under the old transformations there is translate delta. Using this function you could incrementally move an object the amount that was keyed in by hitting the move button again and again. With the new move object and using Delta XYZ, I haven’t been able to find how to replicate this. As far...
