I've also encountered similar behavior. So I just don't do it! The NX modeling screen sits on my primary screen, and my navigators (undocked) sit on the secondary monitor. I do not "maximize" my NX session to span both monitors.

The answer is Properly Maintained Reference Sets. Remember, if you are modeling in context of an assembly, and have the Ref Set set to MODEL, everything you create gets added to MODEL. If you however are modeling in the part file (part is Displayed, or in an assembly where teh ALL ref set is...
There is no reason to do this except I hate looking at the disorder in the expression manager. It just looks sloppy to have an expression called thickness'1
Anyway, thanks John for the program. I'll try it out now.

Hi guys... I'd like to clean up my expressions in a part from p222'1 to p222. All the expressions were imported from another part.
Is there a GRIP routine to remove the '1 from every expression? If not, any other options?
I'm on NX4.0.4.2, XP64
Thanks.

OK, I've uploaded it. You can see easily how to set your date format... We use the "2008/07/01" format here. Hope it helps.

Moog,
would you be interested in a .vb Journal file that does that? I can post one, although I think I got it off of this forum, so perhaps the author could post it (someone named Henry?)

Fortunately those are two different development groups, so we can have both, but... EWH's comment earlier about the ASME Y14.4 section about this made me realize I've been doing this for nothing... but it would still be nice, if not "required". [2thumbsup]

Add one more to make this an ER! Gaps are VERY awkward now (unpredictable direction, for example, as well as snapping to some unknown, invisible point on the leader line, NOT where you pick).

Roll the features back (use "set current feature") before you attempt the boolean operation. You are picking a feature that was created after the body you are trying to edit... In some cases if you created some subtract or unite features later, even if you use set current feature, it will give...
Look into NX Routing Mechanical to do your piping and tubing layouts. It is far more robust than the method you are using.
